Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A star who strayed completely from the world of country music to pop culture and became an iconic pop star that is set to endure forever, and sweeping over all of the world. Swift has thrown off her roots in the country as if she was shedding skins for second purposes, showing herself to be the smartest pop singer/songwriter within her generation. Swift is able to tap into the current trend and make it her unique. The first songs she released including the neotribute in tribute to Tim McGraw were a testament to her talent. However, her second album Fearless of 2008 proved to be the songwriter finding her voice and a wider public. Fearless was a huge success worldwide but not only in North America (where it was certified six times platinum for the Top Ten Hits Love Story and "You Belong with Me") however, in Canada, Australia and the U.K. and other countries. Swift's new album Speak Now, released almost two years after the debut, further consolidated this momentum. The album propelled Swift to the heights of fame. With the three subsequent albums -- Red 2012 1989, Red 2012 and Reputation 2017. her fame only grew. It was a clear indicator that Swift had entered a new pop world where she fit in. Although she slowed down her work with folklore and Evermore releases in 2020 she was still leading the way in pop music.
