Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the founder and CEO of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is an author TV personality, philanthropist, and owner of the independently liberal online news magazine The Huffington Post. When she moved into England from Greece at 16 and obtaining an MA with Economics from Cambridge University. The famous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first president and she took it when she was 21. She became a conservative syndicated writer after graduation and, with The Huffington Post launched a year after, she created an online voice platform with a critique of current political scenarios. Her fame and popularity helped in getting several high-profile contributors to publish their thoughts on news, politics, and other topics. Arianna was first noticed in 2003 as she stood in California's recall vote, to succeed Governor Davis. Arianna was also part of an initiative in Detroit that promoted efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes placed her at 12 on its top 10 list of Most Popular Media Women. Guardian also included the HuffingtonPost in their Top 100 list in 2010. AOL purchased The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. She was then made the President of the AOL media group. It included a number of AOL-owned brands, including Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos who was a journalist and management consultant. Although she had a close relationship to her father, her connection to her mom shaped the rest of her life. She showed leadership traits even in her early years. At the age of 16, she travelled to England for a degree and attended Girton College Cambridge. As a student she was a member of the Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college and eventually was its first female and foreign president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned an MA in Economics. She was a journalist television host, and a columnist after her graduation. In addition, she was a part of the show Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books with editorial assistance from him.
